MEDITATION TO OPTIMISE YOUR ENDOCRINE SYSTEM

Daily meditation is part of my self-love practice.

It nourishes me. Makes me feel centered, grounded and stable (which is vital for a Vata Dosha like me!). Meditation ensures that my stress levels stay low, just where I like it, and my anxiety is in check. I used to be such a highly strung-out little bunny. It makes me feel a little sad that I used to ‘identify’ myself as that – I was just ‘that way’. If it wasn’t for meditation I wouldn’t have discovered my true purpose, tapped into my divine, well-spring of potential or be living this incredibly life I now do.

Credit must go to the incredibly Carolyne Gowen – my meditation teacher. Carolyne’s meditation course in Vedic or Mantra Meditation literally changed my life. And when I look back I realise that learning to meditate all those years ago not only created a space for me to tune in to my truth, my essense, my love but it also changed the state of affairs in my physical body.

There are countless benefits to meditation. From health, to the emotional, spiritual and physical. The list goes on.

I decided to hone in on one particular area vital to female health – The Endocrine System. In fact, it’s vital to all of us, male or female. But balancing our hormonal system is such a huge and integral element to long term vitality.

Carolyne and I spent 20 lovely minutes chatting about meditation, the proven science behind it, the endocrine system and more. Tune in to meet my lovely teacher and to learn how meditation can help you on a deeper level than just simply quietening the noises in our head (although, if that’s all it did that would be ENOUGH too!)

  1. I meditate almost every day for at least 30 minutes each time, going onto about 10 years now… I absolutely love it. But I must admit that I cheat a bit, by using Holosync meditation CDs. I just find meditation a bit easier with the CDs.
