Manifesting in the new year

Manifesting in the new year

Posted January 03, 2016

Manifesting is the buzz word at the moment, isn’t it? It’s the latest craze and personally, I’m all for it. Why the hell not – I mean, the word is empowering, it’s about creation, isn’t it? And why shouldn’t we be creating the life that we want? To me, manifesting is about bringing something (experience, person, attitude, situation) to the forefront – shining a light on your dreams, amplifying your desires and getting shiny-diamond clear. I say ‘forefront’ because what you truly desire, that is for your own growth, already exists… it’s just hanging out in the shadows, waiting to be called forth. It can only be called forth through you – your WILL. Nothing will ever happen without your permission. Manifesting is about realising that within you is the ultimate resource (your own vibrational energy) for attracting what you wan, as soon as you are ready, willing and able. This time of year with intentions and soulful goals flying around, the energy is almost electrified. Most of the yoga classes I am teaching at the moment are packed – a roomful of yogis with hopeful dreams of bendy asana, quiet minds and devoted practice. The point is, this time of year is the right time to really tap into the power of manifestation. It’s not rocket science, but it does take focused awareness and loving attention. In today’s VLOG I guide you through manifestation. A few things I’d like to highlight for you: I share with you what I used to think about manifesting I talk about the energy within us and how this is integral to getting what we want I talk through why (real) manifesting has to be in alignment with your truth, not your surface level desires. I talk about how you already have what you want + how lack perpetuates lack I share a personal example of how I am harnessing the power of manifestation right now I offer up some simple examples of how to manifest When you’ve finished watching the vlog I’d love to hear how YOU manifest or how you are planning on creating + attracting what your soul desires this year?  Share below in the comments! ++ So, you want to manifest a beautiful life? Let me ask you this…do you have your roadmap to happy? How will you navigate towards joy and balance in Mind-Body-Soul? Do you feel equipped to map out your pathway to a year of joy, balance, happiness, success? Do you have the tools you need? Are you ready to take the inspired action to create happiness? This year I am doing something new and oh-so juicy and special. Starting early February, I’ll be holding circle in an intimate group coaching program: Your Roadmap to Happy: 10 Week Online Group Immersion into your Mind-Body-Soul I want to work with YOU, specifically on arming you up with the right tools and knowledge to create your ROADMAP TO HAPPINESS – in Mind, Body and Soul. When your goals get in the way

When your goals get in the way

Posted May 13, 2014

How many times have you had a goal – a passion-filled desire – that has done an about face and actually started to control you and literally got in the way? Have you experienced that overpowering energy of ‘achievement’ and ‘striving’ to the point where you felt completely overwhelmed and blocked? Can you see how your goals get in the way? In this overly-stimulating, competitive and goal-orientated world we live in I’d be surprised (and seriously impressed) if you’ve never been affected by it and have side-stepped the need to achieve. But what am I really talking about here? This is about what is hiding underneath those goals that get in the way…. Expectations. Agendas. Lack. Fear. Let me ask you a few questions here: Have you ever wondered why something you’ve set your heart and mind on has crumbled into ruins? Or have you witnessed how an initial goal has ended up causing stress and anxiety instead of ease and joy? Have you felt frustrated that, despite your best efforts to achieve your goal, you’ve still managed to sabotage  yourself and lost ‘control’ of what you are doing? Or have you felt stuck, unable to move forward, even though you’ve had the best of intentions and are really trying to face your goals head on? Are you nodding along? Say YES?! Well then this VLOG is for you. And even if you aren’t shouting yes from the roof-tops hit play anyway. I know it’ll resonate with you on some level or hold a nugget of truth that you are destined to harness in the future, or pass onto a friend who needs to hear it. ++ In this vlog I share: How your goals can often turn on you and get in the way. Why your goals end up falling apart (and controlling you) – this is about the role that you play in this! How staying present and dropping your agendas and expectations can actually move your forward more. A little ‘tough-love’ message from me – a gentle slap to help you get the hell out of your own way! ++ Your turn: Can you see where you are in-control, right now in life? What goals are you controlling? And how is this getting in your way? Sometimes WE get in the way and we really need to learn how to get the hell out of the way! Speaking of ‘getting in your own way’. In 2013 I wrote an ebook called: Get out of your own way – 17 ways to surrender for your best life yet! If this video resonated with you I know you’ll get so much out of my ebook. I share so many pivotal and personal stories where I was called to surrender and how they led me to a life of more ease and flow. Check it out here. love + light to you, Claire x Read more

JUXTAPOSED BELIEFS – WHEN SOMEONE SEES THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY TO YOU

JUXTAPOSED BELIEFS – WHEN SOMEONE SEES THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY TO YOU

Posted February 11, 2014

At least once a day I converse with someone (husband, friend, client, family) who has a thought or belief or opinion that is completely the opposite to my own set of thoughts, beliefs, opinions. It’s what makes us unique, colourful… special, even. But how do we make peace with our beliefs that might be directly against or in contrast to those in our life and their own beliefs? Have you experienced that – the clash of beliefs? Maybe with a partner, a best friend, your mum? You have? Awesome stuff – because  this post was written for you! In fact, it was inspired by a member of The Freedom Project who raised this very powerful question (above) and the many clients I’ve had who have raised this exact concern with me. What do we do when our nearest and dearest just don’t see the world and participate in life the way we do? I just had to tackle and explore it in today’s VLOG – I know many of us experience this clash often, if not daily and most likely within our closest relationships. Think about it for a moment. How do you manage the dynamic between yourself and your personal view of the world and attitude to life with someone else’s completely bipolar perspective? You believe in abundance. He believes that you get what you’re given, nothing more. You believe in a ‘glass half-full‘. He sees the world through critical eyes. You believe life always has your back. He believes that we are on our own. You believe in energy + all that cannot be seen. He believes that it has to be seen to be believed. ++ To help bring this to life a little more I share, personally, from my experience with my husband who definitely has a different perspective and a few belief systems that are the black to my white. Click play to watch: I share three powerful ways to make peace with someone else’s belief system I touch on my beliefs around money in relation to my husband’s I offer up tips on how to ‘manage’ it when someone else sees and believes in a way that you don’t. I highlight how the clash of beliefs and perspectives can actually benefit you I invite you to consider reflections and what they are teaching you about yourself Your turn: What is a major belief/opinion you have that clashes with someone you love? THE FREEDOM BLOG TOUR WITH SUSANA FRIONI

THE FREEDOM BLOG TOUR WITH SUSANA FRIONI

Posted February 08, 2014

This post is part of  ‘The Freedom Blog Tour’. To celebrate round two of The Freedom Project. I’ve asked a handful of my favourite people to share their insights on FREEDOM. These posts are designed to demonstrate how freedom is such a personal and unique experience for every single one of us.   ++ Freedom by Susana Frioni Total freedom equals total responsibility. When you think about freedom what does it mean to you? Total freedom means total responsibility.  Total responsibility for how I feel, what I think, what I do and how I do it.  It’s the power to think or act without any restraint, be it from external or internal forces. How do you maintain a sense of freedom even in moments when you are busy, juggling life and obligations? In times when my calendar is full or busy, I always remind myself that I chose my calendar to be full.  If it’s no longer feeling good, I have the power to make another choice, another choice that will have me feeling good. These choices don’t necessarily mean that I have to reschedule commitments or let things go.  Sometimes it’s simply a matter of choosing to reframe my thinking so I can see things from a different perspective. What does freedom feel like in my body? In one of my meditations recently,  I found myself opening a door and being blinded by a white light.  Once my eyes adjusted I was standing outside looking over the most beautiful green rolling hills. The landscape reminded me of Montana. Then I felt a powerful presence to my right. When I turned to take a look, I found myself standing next to a big beautiful black horse. Next thing I know, I’m on the horse.  There is no saddle.  There is no bridle. I can feel his incredible power and strength under the weight of my body and pulsing between my thighs.  He is untamed, wild and free.  And yet, I trust him…and for some reason, he trusts me. My eye gaze finally shifts off the horse and out into the distance. I feel my hands grip his mane a little tighter. Then I feel my legs hug his body a little harder. Then I feel my body lean forward…as if I was getting ready for the race of my life. Then just like that, he took off galloping. It was exhilarating. It was liberating. It was ecstatic. There was no race. There was no finish line. There was no place to get to. There were no agendas. There were no restrictions. There were no limitations. Here I was, on the back of a wild horse, whose only purpose was to run free. I’ve had many visceral experiences of freedom, but this was something else. If freedom were a colour, what would it be? Black. It’s the void. The mysterious. The limitless. It’s the endless night skies. The dancing in the dark. And the wild black horse. It’s the stillness of my quiet mind. The depth behind my closed eyes. And the courage to be with what I do not know. But it’s also white. It’s the light. The perfection. The limitless. It’s the blank page waiting to be written on. It’s the lightness of letting go. And it’s the joy of new beginnings. It’s the orgasmic wave that takes over my body. It’s the lightning bolt of truth that wakes me up. And it’s the pure ecstatic moments of oneness. If freedom were a song, what would it be? Silence by Delirium (tiesto’s remix). {http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qycAC_6Bbto} This song is so timeless. And the lyrics are so profound, especially these ones: “I have seen you in this white wave you are silent you are breathing in this white wave I am free” This song hits me in the right spot every.single.time. Can you describe the opposite of freedom? For me, the opposite of freedom is bondage. Bondage to my own boundaries, beliefs, automatic patterns and conditioned responses.  Bondage to my  own inner prison. Bondage to the past or the future. It feels suffocating, tight and restrictive. It feels draining, icky and repetitive. And it feels fearful, limiting and powerless. Connect with Susana website // twitter // facebook // instagram ++ Incredible stuff. This women is a wordsmith! THE FREEDOM BLOG TOUR WITH RACHEL MACDONALD

Posted February 07, 2014

This post is part of  ‘The Freedom Blog Tour’. To celebrate round two of The Freedom Project, commencing February 9th, I’ve asked a handful of my favourite people to share their insights on FREEDOM. These posts are designed to demonstrate how freedom is such a personal and unique experience for every single one of us. My ecourse is designed to help you clear out the emotional junkyard so you can step into the life of freedom you so deserve. FREEDOM by Rachel MacDonald Ahh, FREEDOM. It drives us all. Financial freedom. Freedom to do the work we love. Freedom from the demons of our past. Freedom from fear and self-sabotage. Freedom from the lashings of our inner critic. We’re all seeking it, in some form or another, and to celebrate the second round of her ecourse The Freedom Project, my gorgeous friend Claire has asked me to dive deeper and share on what freedom looks like for me As a freedom-hungry Sagittarian soul who fled her corporate cubicle a little over a year ago on the quest for sovereignty, this is a challenge I’m more than happy to rise to! What does freedom feel like? “When I give up my ideas of how life has to go, then there’s freedom in every moment.” – Brian Andreas Freedom feels like release. It’s unclenching, untethering myself from an outcome. Letting go. A sense of expansiveness. Being open, and light. Being wildly, authentically me – in any given moment. Speaking my truth, with love. A stand-out, visceral ‘freedom moment’ for me…. has to be climbing to the top of the Swiss Alps, heart thrumming, drinking it all in, wondering if just maybe, my eyes were playing tricks on me. Everything felt so stupendously over-sized, and there wasn’t a cell in my being that wasn’t pulsating. Ba-boom. Ba-BOOM. Words don’t really do experiences like these justice – the English language doesn’t seem to be able to capture the magnitude of this feeling – but I’m not sure it’s meant to. To do so would contain it, which is, of course, the opposite of freedom. When you feel it, you just know it. It’s intoxicating. How do you maintain freedom with a busy lifestyle? Freedom noun 1. The power or right to act, speak or think as one wants. 2. The state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. What I’ve learnt is that freedom truly is a state of mind. True freedom means feeling radically empowered, knowing you’re responsible for the way you react, the way you feel, and the way you live your life. There’s the external expression of freedom – jumping on the plane, escaping, making all the rules, doing whatever you please whenever you please – but there’s a caveat with that kind of freedom and it’s this: ‘Wherever you go, there you are.’  You can be surface ‘free,’ yet more mentally shackled than ever before. You can be doing the work you love, but feel trapped by the very empire you’ve built around you. In my experience, it all comes back to choice. And – most importantly – care and celebration and deep, deep gratitude for wherever you’re at. I had to consciously choose freedom: yesterday. When I looked at the list of jobs to be done for my (soon-to-be-launched) program, there was a moment where my heart flipped and I sucked in my breath. Ok. The list is still pretty huge. There were two doors in front of me. To walk into the first one would be to spiral into this: ‘I’m working on a Sunday when I should be relaxing at the beach with a good book.” But the other glimmered with this alternate truth; a brighter, positive perspective: ‘I’m working on a Sunday, creating something I’m incredibly passionate about. And I’m answering these questions for someone I love, which brings a smile to my face. AND – I can do it at the beach.’ THAT’s freedom. Swiftly steering out of the Land of Limited Thinking, packing up my gear and planting myself on a blanket at one of my favourite beaches in the world. Busy and free co-existing? It’s possible. It really is. If freedom were a colour what would it be? There’s no doubt in my mind – it’s this one. It finds me, wherever I go. Ocean, sky, wide, free. Pure magic. If freedom were a song what would it be? Lately, I’ve been meditating to the song I walked down the aisle to, James Vincent McMorrow’s version of ‘Higher Love’ and there’s this part that goes: ‘I could light the night up with my soul on fire,  I could make the sun shine from pure desire. Let me feel the love come over me,  Let me feel how strong it can be.’  And – I don’t know what it is about those lyrics and the tone in his voice – but I feel totally free when those words touch my ears. Free, covered with goosebumps and absolutely grounded in the moment. What is the opposite to freedom? Restriction. Forcing. Feeling pressurised. Living in a state of struggle. Being a slave to a story. Losing faith in the fact that whatever the Universe has in store for me, and whatever soul contract I’m here to fulfil, is far greater than I can possibly imagine. Just like you can FEEL freedom, the same can be said about its opposite. It’s that one step too far, that one clouded thought, the slide back into old habits. When we’re caught up in judgement, we’re imprisoned. When we’re frozen in fear, we’re closed. When we’re controlling the outcome, we’re confined. This is different for us all… but again, we know.   ++ Oh wow, isn’t she incredible? I am a little overwhelmed with gratitude that I have such beautiful friends, like Rach, who see the world the way they do. I love how she encapsulates Freedom and makes it real and honest and damn beautiful, in THIS world. She’s not talking ‘escapism’ like so many people see Freedom… Rach has brought the ‘free’ feeling to […] Read more

THE FREEDOM BLOG TOUR WITH JAMIE GONZALEZ

THE FREEDOM BLOG TOUR WITH JAMIE GONZALEZ

Posted January 31, 2014

This post is part of  ‘The Freedom Blog Tour’. To celebrate round two of The Freedom Project, commencing February 9th, I’ve asked a handful of my favourite people to share their insights on FREEDOM. These posts are designed to demonstrate how freedom is such a personal and unique experience for every single one of us. My ecourse is designed to help you clear out the emotional junkyard so you can step into the life of freedom you so deserve. ++ Freedom by Jamie Gonzalez When you think about freedom what does it mean to you? Freedom means to be my truest, authentic self. Allowing myself to fully express the love I feel within me, through all areas of life without holding back. How that looks is always a surprise to me these days, but it’s being open to all the possibilities of how my freedom may be expressed, which is exciting for me. The more I come to know myself, as this feeling that moves me moment by moment, the more freedom I experience. How does freedom feel + fit in your body? Freedom feels like I have been dropped into the ocean and rather than floating amongst the water, it’s as though I have melted into it and I can no longer tell where I begin or end, I feel limitless. How does freedom come alive in your life? Life to me is freedom itself being expressed moment by moment. Its only when I become in judgment of the moments I perceive not to be free, that freedom itself is not alive because I am ultimately that freedom. How do you maintain a sense of freedom, even in moments where you are busy, juggling life and obligations? By placing my attention on the truth, I am that sense of freedom and not my life. If I notice my thoughts being taken up by what is happening in life, whether it is positive or negative, I take a moment and say; ‘I am not this’. Immediately my attention goes onto who I am, which is that freedom. What’s the most integral element to experiencing and living a life of freedom? Realizing that who I am is not this body, my thoughts or my circumstances. For as long as I think I am, I have to continue working on all the things that come along with being my identity. For as long as I am doing that, then I am making it about my past or future and how my life looks presently. I am focusing on what I have to do in order to be free, rather than realizing I have been free all along. If freedom were a colour, what would it be? I can’t pick only one! Freedom for me looks like a rainbow with all of its colors If freedom were a song, what would it be? Depth Over Distance – Ben Howard. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN Can you describe the opposite of freedom and how you’ve experienced that in your life? How does it make you feel? The opposite is me forgetting who I truly am and thinking I am just this small identity we call Jamie. I would then be getting stressed or caught up in my life. Reacting to what’s going on in my story rather than remembering my story, is my true self expressing moment by moment. I would experience this around finances. If suddenly I had unexpected bills pop up, I would then think how I would have to pay for this. And if there was plenty of money flowing in, I would think it was because of what I was doing and become attached to what I thought was working. I would feel small and think I would need to have to go and do things, or place pressure on where I think my income is sourced from. I would feel limited rather than being open to how my true self has already paid for this and letting that express without me knowing how. Why is freedom important to you? Its who I am, to forget about it and not place importance on it is to imprison myself in that which I am not. How do you define freedom? For me, freedom is not something I can define, it’s just something I feel.  Being that feeling and being true to it is my freedom. How that appears I would like to believe is unimaginable, because then I know I am open to all the limitless ways in which freedom must express itself through this body and into my unimaginable life 😉 ++ Connect with Jamie Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | Web Amazing stuff, huh guys? I’ve worked closely with Jamie before and completely resonate with, connect to and live by the words he has expressed here. Freedom as a moment to moment practice – and remembering the truth of who you really are. LEARN HOW TO JOURNAL + MINI CHALLENGE FOR YOU!

LEARN HOW TO JOURNAL + MINI CHALLENGE FOR YOU!

Posted January 28, 2014

“One advantage in keeping a diary is that you become aware with reassuring clarity of the changes which you constantly suffer and which in a general way are naturally believed, surmised, and admitted by you, but which you’ll unconsciously deny when it comes to the point of gaining hope or peace from such an admission. In the diary you find proof that in situations which today would seem unbearable, you lived, looked around and wrote down observations, that this right hand moved then as it does today, when we may be wiser because we are able to look back upon our former condition, and for that very reason have got to admit the courage of our earlier striving in which we persisted even in sheer ignorance.” Franz Kafka _________________________________________________________________________________ How many times have you heard or read that journalling is a great self-development practice. Alot, I bet. But how many of you are actually a little confused as to ‘how’ to journal. Apparently alot of you – considering the comments and emails I get about it. Today’s blog post is about that, exactly; ‘How to Journal’. To me journalling is a window into my soul. A moment of inner connection – a mirror to reflect back my truest feelings, thoughts and all the dark (and glorious!) stuff in between. It’s a protected, sacred moment of solitude as I commune with my truth. I can’t sing the praises of putting pen to paper, pouring your heart out through blue-black ink onto scratchy paper. It has an oldy-world feel about it. It carries an air of nostalgia and history to it – not like tapping away on a keyboard does. And let me just say that journalling has nothing to do with being a good writer! My pages are filled with scribble, poor grammar words crossed scratched out. It’s rough, raw and real. I’m going to let this video do the talk. In it, I guide you through how I journal through a few different (and easy) techniques. If you are keen to get going, below is a mini-guide to help you dive into the powerful process of journalling. And I have a little mini-challenge for you: check it out below. Journalling guide (print this out and keep it!) 1) Gratitude Journalling: First, start by gratitude journaling. Reflect on the day that has been. Open up to the beauty in your life. Look at the big picture stuff and also zone in on the more micro elements that you are grateful. Think about WHO / WHAT / WHERE you are grateful? 2) Follow the feelings: Allow yourself to ponder on and softly, gently reflect on elements of your recent day. Are there any experiences that stand out to you? Perhaps a more frustrating/negative experience or situation that has left you feeling a little off. Or maybe there was something delightful and wonderful that unfolded. Let these little nuggets of gold or otherwise present themselves. These are great launching pads to continue ‘processing’ and journalling. Follow your gut and start to explore what has come up with a series of questions that will support you in peeling off a few layers and going into the depths of ‘it. (I find asking myself questions really forces me get real with i) E.g. Why did that press my buttons? Why did I feel so irritated? What are the emotions that are gurgling away in my belly? Is there a reflection here that I’m meant to see? How do I feel about that person/experience?What am I not admitting? 3) Freestyle/Stream of Consciousness Explore unknown territory, in an unstructured way. Pen to paper, no guidelines… just go! You might simply feel called to write – to be creative, to open up and share what your heart wants to share. Positively, negatively… whatever it is. No structure, no boundaries. Just freestyle it. Try this in the morning, first thing, without completely ‘waking up’ Try writing down your dreams  4) Focused Journalling  Journal in a much more structured way. If there is an issue/area of your life bashing around in your head you might need to actually need to ‘nut it out’ so you can create some space. Choose your ‘focused topic’ and begin expressing how you feel about it and providing detail – tell the story Invite in questions, once again to peel off a few more layers E.g What do I really want here? What do I believe to be true, but maybe, really isn’t? If someone else was looking in on my life what would they see, how would they describe it? What are these feelings really about? What’s not working? What changes do I wish were in place now? What am I holding back on? _________________________________________________________________________________ ++ MINI CHALLENGE: Ok, so if you are up for it, I’m setting the challenge to you: Journal everyday, for 7 days, for at least 5 minutes. ++ Share with me below in the comments: What are your thoughts/feelings on journalling? Do you already journal? Are you keen to try it? Are you IN on the min 7 day journalling challenge? Can’t wait to hear from you! love + light, Claire x p.s there are plenty of opportunities for journalling and guided exercises within The Freedom Project ecourse. Find out more HERE. Read more
